It’s National Wool Week – the culmination of the Campaign for Wools year of work to promote wool, and its amazing versitility for fashion and homeware, supporting farmers and small local businesses along the way. For more info have a look at the official website here http://www.campaignforwool.org/the-campaign/
The installation at Harvey Nicks in Knightsbridge is brilliant, and i’m going to try and get over to see it this weekend.
I’m in the capital spending the weekend with pregnant sister, Amy. We’re off to see the ballgowns exhibition at the V&A and potentially treat ourselves to a spot of afternoon tea here http://www.thewolseley.com/afternoon-tea… I can’t wait!
As you know I LOVE WOOL!! My little homage to this wooly week has been to finish one of my friend’s bridesmaid shrugs (hooray!) and pick up the needles to try and complete my mitred square blanket (all be it in a much smaller version with 16 squares as opposed to 82!!!) We’ve all been poorly in this house, this week so I’ve taken advantage of the extra childrens TV and days off work to indulge in some gentle knitting and finishing. And here’s the first one… what do you think?
