Textures and patterns and a weekend in Cornwall

The family and I decided to have a little weekend away last week, travelling down to Cornwall after school and work on Friday to stay in Perranporth. As my husband and I are both from the South West of the UK, we are drawn down to Devon and Cornwall and the coast and get our annual fix of the beautiful Cornish coastline in the autumn, when all of the tourist hoards have gone back home.

This year’s trip did not disappoint. Huge swathes of golden sand, windswept cliff tops and lush green fields weren’t spoilt by the blustery weather. I was inspired to take photos of the beautiful natural patterns and textures we saw over the weekend. Aren’t the textures amazing? There’s a future craft project in here somewhere I’m sure… oh and the obligatory cream tea, eaten in a cute little cafe called Madeline’s in St Ives.
