The Weekly Glint – Nordic

Nordic, Scandinavian style or simply folk – what do you call it? I’m sure there’s some technical difference between the three but for me they encapsulate that style of basic colour combinations and naive motives.

Early I know, maybe it’s those ads on TV  (#bearandhare anyone?!) or the sudden cold snap  but I’m starting to feel a little bit Christmassy. Which has got me reaching for my craft bag and hunting out some Scandinavian inspired cross stitch. The simple motives and colour combinations are inspiring – Christmas or not – trees, repeating blocks and rows, stars and hearts. Red and white, black and white, grey and white looks particularly contemporary.

Here’s my round up the best Nordic inspired craft and interiors from around the net.
