We’re spending a week down in St Ives, Cornwall and despite the weather not sticking to the heat wave that we have been experiencing here in the UK we’re having a great time.
I love the outdoorsy, arty vibe here. Galleries are around every corner (not to mention Tate St Ives) with painters and ceramicists working in their studios. I’ve even seen a few textile art works – very inspiring.
It’s true what they say, the light in St Ives really is special. Even when it’s overcast the light is bright and strong.
I’ve bought some crochet and my tea cake cross stitch to keep me amused in the evenings and am trying to read The Sea The Sea by Iris Murdoch whilst hubby and daughter surf.
